This piece has had quite a journey. Anyone wanting to do some detective work can go back through my Instagram posts and see its humble beginnings. I learned that I'm just really not someone who can do a simple still life. I need the layers. I need meaning. My code of what life is all about needs to be within.
This painting finally came to life when I added the Painted Bunting. I was inspired by a story on Public Radio about a stray bird that had shown up at someone's feeder this winter. Such a special, beautiful, bird. Thank you, bird, for brightening our world!
